The Dove & The Wolf
There are six hundred Aesop Fables
But none of the dove and the wolf
There’s a dove and a hare
And a tortoise in the air
There’s a boastful mule and a daughter who’s foolish
There’s a dove and a crow
But a wolf?
No go!
There’s a wolf and a fox on a log
And a sheep and two sleepy dogs
But no Dove and a Wolf
It’s an obvious fable
To set in a stable
And why Aesop was unable
To make it goer
I don’t know -
Ladies and gentlemen, make your own fable
As you sit at your City Winery table
And listen to the fabulous sounds
Of The Dove and The Wolf
