There was a young woman called Borges
Who sang in a voice drop dead gorges
I told her I admired the contradictions
Inherent in her playful postmodern fictions
She said “No, That was a bloke, first name Jorge” -
and I’d like to apologize for muddling her with an Argentinian postmodernist, Jorge Luis Borges, dead for 40 years
